Established as a charitable foundation in 1995, the Coalition for Stronger Communities (CSC), Inc. provides a supporting role in educational, civic, literacy and charitable programs to the community we serve. CSC will collaborate with non-profit organizations and community programs to leverage financial resources and knowledge in pursuit of our mission. The Foundation is committed to building stronger communities through the promotion of scholastic excellence, health awareness, social change, personal and economic empowerment.
The Coalition for Stronger Communities, Inc. is a non-profit organization exempt from federal income tax as an Internal Revenue Code (509(a)) Section 501(c)(3) organization and is a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509(a) of the Code. As such, contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. Grants from the Foundation are made only to charitable organization as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
CSC has strong ties to the community and is actively involved in many aspects of service through community forums, international development, economic and financial literacy programs. These invaluable programs include tutoring and mentoring programs for middle school and high school students, support to a women’s transitional housing program, combating domestic violence, promoting health awareness and fostering international students. CSC is especially committed to the success of our youth; and has awarded over $130,000 in educational scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
